Misty Petal began with a simple belief that nature offers everything we need when we choose to work with it, not against it. There is a quiet beauty in that approach, one that cannot truly be replicated.

My journey started at a time when I became more mindful of what I was using on my skin. Around then, my sister mentioned handmade soap. I remember wondering what made it so different, and that small curiosity led me into the world of soapmaking.

The more I learned, the more fascinated I became. I decided to try it for myself, and from that very first batch, I was hooked. What began as a simple experiment gradually grew into something I genuinely enjoyed, a creative and meaningful part of my everyday life.

Of course, the journey came with its challenges. Not every batch turned out as expected, but each one taught me something new. Over time, I refined my formulations, adjusted my methods, and grew more confident in the process. As part of this journey, I also pursued training in cosmetic formulation to deepen my understanding of ingredients, safety, and thoughtful product development.

As I continued learning, I began making my own plant-based milks - oat, almond, rice, flaxseed, and hempseed, to incorporate into my soaps. This allows me to stay closer to the ingredients I value and the approach I believe in.

Handmade soap, when crafted with care, offers a beautiful balance, it cleanses effectively while remaining gentle on the skin. A portion of nourishing oils remains unsaponified, while naturally occurring glycerin is retained during the process, helping the skin feel soft rather than stripped.

At Misty Petal, every ingredient is chosen with intention. We use thoughtfully selected oils and butters that are skin-friendly and high in quality. All our formulations are palm-free.

When it comes to scent, we use both essential oils and fragrance oils, carefully selected from trusted suppliers who meet IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards. We maintain standard documentation for all essential oils and fragrance oils used and ensure that every blend is formulated within safe and appropriate usage levels.

Creating each scent is a thoughtful process. Many hours go into designing, testing, and refining blends to achieve the balanced and distinctive fragrance profiles that define Misty Petal.

These products have been a part of my daily life and have been shared with my family and friends over the years. Their feedback and encouragement gave me the confidence to continue growing. Misty Petal is simply an extension of that experience, a way to share something I genuinely enjoy using.
